Nigerian-American Houston Dynamo ‘s player Jalil Anibaba joined Sylvester Turner, Mayor of Houston, Council Member Amanda K. Edwards, Council Member Dr. Jack Christie, Houston City Council Member Jerry Davis, District B, and Council Member @Council Member Karla Cisneros at the city hall today to declare May 25, “Africa Day in Houston.” After the proclamation, models in African inspired attired strode the room in homage to African Fashion Week Houston 2017, while guests viewed artwork on loan from The Gite Gallery and sampled delicious bites from African restaurants Peli Peli Kitchen, Cafe Abuja and LUCY Ethiopian Restaurant & Lounge!
